Words of Wisdom
"I love to see a young girl go out and grab the world by the lapels. Life's a bitch. You've got to go out and kick ass." -Maya Angelou

Frolic
California weather has been throwing me off lately. Last week it was unusually gloomy and the past two days it starts off cold then gets super hot throughout the day. Like sweating bullets by 2 in the afternoon hot. Nothing like a little park frolicking to distract from the weather!

A Good Book
There’s nothing I love more than a good book. Actually, that’s not true,
there are a lot of things I love more, but it’s pretty high up there on the
things I love list. Recently I discovered a local gem of a bookshop by
accident. It’s more of a book/coffee shop hybrid. They serve the usual coffee,
tea, and pastries on one side of the store and the other side is a used
bookshop. I have to restrict myself on the amount of trips I make here cause I
could literally spend an hour just sifting through the shelves. Books range
from 1-4 dollars and you could discover some of the latest releases or copies
of classics. As much as I love feeling the pages of a brand new book, I love
reading through a used one just as much. I find there’s more character to the
books when they’ve been previously loved. This trip I limited myself to 6
books, mostly because my arms couldn’t handle carrying anymore. The vibe here
is super chill and very relaxing. It’s not overcrowded or stuffy or formal.
There’s an artistic air about the cafĂ© and there’s even a piano you could play
if you’re ever feeling in the mood. Also there’s free wifi, and isn’t that what
everyone’s searching for these days?
Maybe one of these will even end up being one of my favorites.

Met Gala
Everyone always refers to the Met Gala as the Oscars of fashion, but seriously how could it not be? It's the one night where it's mandatory to roll out your A game and this year's gala did not disappoint. It was tough to pick favorites out of all the amazingness that showed up, but these were definitely the winners of the night.
Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester will always be Blair to me) looking very sexy 70s in Emilio Pucci. When my hair decides to grow out of its awkward phase it hopes to look just like hers.
Chrissy Teigen looking gorgeous in Ralph Lauren. I love Chrissy and I love this dress. I always tend to think she looks great in whatever she wears, in my mind Chrissy can do no wrong.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in Balmain. She's ridiculously pretty. This dress probably wouldn't work for anyone else but she's killing in it.
Emma Stone in Thakoon. Yes. Yes. Just yes a million times. I love the colors and I love the entire outfit. Met gala magic right here.

Journey of a Dress
The DVF Journey of a Dress Exhibit in LA was pretty wonderful. All the patterns and colors definitely created a feast for the eyes.
