Sometimes we forget that we belong to ourselves, and we get caught up belonging to others, trying to fit the mold that they think we should be in. Sometimes we can lose ourselves trying to be everything for everyone else, that we lose sight of who we are altogether. Life should be lived for yourself, at the end of the day you need to make yourself happy before you can do that for anyone else.

Domestic Diva
Has Blake Lively always been domestic goddess perfection or is this more of a comes with getting older and being married thing? I'd been hearing things about her website and just stumbled upon a video of her answering 73 random questions asked by Vogue, and if I loved her as Serena van der Woodsen I love her even more as herself/Mrs. Ryan Reynolds! She's started the younger, easier to relate to version of Gwenyth Paltrow's blog. Definitely signing up for her newsletter and can't wait to see more of lifestyle guru Blake!

Sick Day Essentials
Currently typing this from the comfort of my bed cause this girl is sick. Not just the oh I feel kind of under the weather sick, but the hey this is ruining my plans I feel shitty sick. I've got a gnarly dry cough that doesn't seem to be going anywhere, a consistent pounding headache from the cough, and a voice that's ten times deeper than my normal one. Since I've been sick for most of this week, I've come to the conclusion that everyone is in major need of these things:
Vitamin C- I usually take it in tablet form every day, but since I've been sick I've been trying to get as much of it in as I can. Including in oranges and grapefruit.
Green Tea & Honey- Or any tea and honey. Or any warm liquid and honey. I've actually been sipping on calamansi and honey and I think it's been pretty helpful so far.
Tissues- A box of tissues is so necessary. Especially when you don't have the energy to get up and go to the bathroom to get toilet paper. Bless my sister for giving me the kind with lotion in them.
Water- I think this is a given? Even though it sucks to drink when you have a sore throat it's the best thing for you.
Vicks Vapor Rub- All over all the time. It's magic in a jar.
Netflix- Well what else are you supposed to do when you're stuck at home all day? Finished OITNB and currently binge watching Beauty & the Beast episodes.
Good Book- Just so you don't suffer from major eye strain, it's good to mix it up now and then. Also since everyone is avoiding little sick me it's good to have something else to do.

Classic Americana
I'm the type of girl that loves dressing up in the theme for any holiday that's happening. Green on St. Patrick's Day, Red on Valentine's Day, and ugly Christmas sweaters for the majority of December. I enjoy being festive like that. Seeing as how the 4th of July is only two days away, I'm trying to wear all my American flag clothing before it's over, seeing as how I won't actually get to wear anything red white and blue on the actual day (can't roll up to my cousin's wedding in a flag crop top and high waisted shorts). In the spirit of this great holiday, I've found a few things I would definitely buy if I could!
